homecoming night (2010)

part of why i like taking pictures is because pictures like these, ones that are blurred out, seemingly meaningless, clicks in my mind so well. i remember almost, if not, perfectly when and where i took this. it was during homecoming of my senior year in high school when four of us, lindsey, kelly, katie, and me were dateless and went alone to homecoming even though we knew it was going to be pretty damn shitty. girl's night out, if anything. anyway, we went in katie's convertible with the hood down and blasted loads of dumb teen pop, like vanessa carlton and justin bieber, while we screamed the lyrics at the sky. so yeah, this what the sky looked like while we were in full-mode girl power. and by the time we got to homecoming, our curls were all loose, tangly, and cold with the wind. but we didn't care much because we knew that those few minutes in the convertible were as much fun as we were going to get that day. homecoming sucked
